Buy it at Insound!

tuesday april 10 2001    |    1:54 a.m.

all right, i have no self-control. so i'm writing another entry. but i'm happy, and suppose have things to write. in list-form, even. a list of good things, because there really are several.

1. i got my comps back today, and i passed.

2. i passed with distinction.

3. daniel and i took a drive into mount vernon listening to a live pinback album. we drove with the music loud and the windows rolled all the way down, and the damp from outside drifting in.

4. i came into some money and was able to buy cigarettes at the smokeshop.

5. we spotted a laundromat-slash-tanning salon (!) on the stripmall side of town. heinous, but funny as hell.

6. she and i have been discussing plans for the rocket from the crypt show on instant messenger for quite a while tonight. it's going to be a party: molly and me and her friends and maybe daniel's brother and john reis and many many rounds of beer-buying. a party i tell you. i can't wait.

7. we all passed our comps. WE ROCK.

8. coherence is overrated sometimes.

9. yesterday julie brought me some of the green tea she brought from china, inside a film case. i've been drinking so much of it that it's almost gone. yum.

10. my mom is spending the weekend in new york with me. and no, she is not coming to the show.

11. keara has a boy. who plays her songs on his radio show. and who is coming to visit soon.

12. this weather we've been having. you can't not wear shorts and go barefoot.

13. purgatorio test was cake.

14. NEIL YOUNG was on campus today, because his daughter was visiting kenyon. i didn't see him though: word on the street has it neil was forced to vacate the premises after being accosted by rabid fans somewhere on middle path.

and now the not-so-good: it's two ay-em and i have class at eight. before then i have to read two articles & two short stories and be prepared to write a response paper for chinese film tomorrow between the hours of eleven am and one pm. except it feels like afternoon to me right now and i want to go out and do things, just didn't feel like today was long enough. but i suppose i should sleep.

hayden's second album is good for balmy nights like tonight.
