graduation countdown: two days.

tonight there was some senior week party where people got dressed in ridiculous costumes, drank coors, ate cheese and chicken on a stick, and got down. i went with my friends and wow, it's amazing how bored people are. everyone was there. hung out at ken m_'s for a while, smoking and listening to ccr, which was probably my personal highlight of the day. i'm not a big fan of parties.

tomorrow morning is "commencement" rehearsal, and the family arrives, and my mother will freak when she sees i haven't really packed anything. sometimes it's amazing we're related at all, we're so different. nick is driving me to town after rehearsal so i can cash my check and get some money to buy boxes. excitement all around! it will be dull the next few days: rehearsals and baccalaureate and entertaining and packing.

i'm perfecting the art of the mixtape. in my humble opinion. the one i'm making now will accompany me home, and then i'll make copies of it and send it out. kaliis gave me one today as a parting gift of sorts and i can't wait to listen to it as i box up my room.

so the dismemberment plan show in west palm is tonight (thursday): i had my dates all wrong. but in early june or july, i forget which, ed is taking me to see mark eitzel, of american music club, and the stars, in little havana. this promises to be an amazing show. autechre is playing soon too, but i can't rationalize dishing out $20 to see a band i don't like that much. so i'll wait.

i'm trying to think beyond the next couple of days. it will be hectic. once i'm home, i can focus and plan ahead again, get busy: interview for jobs and read and work on music things with ed. save up some money and decide on a place to go.

maybe columbus? i think i'll miss the snow.

who knows.

the campus is radiant right now, you should see it, all green and covered in fog.
