finally! good things are starting to happen.

1) i have a job interview tomorrow. holy god! was woken up this morning by a phone call from a certain tv station looking for a news writer. i sent them my résumé weeks ago and had given up on hearing back at all. but there you are: tomorrow morning i get to tour the offices and rewrite associated press reports. rock.

2) he got my package. and he liked it! and that makes me happy.

3) someone signed up for the other website's mailing list. and also someone else, some boy in a local band, wrote me a lovely e-mail giving me props on the site.

4) got to talk to julie for about fifteen minutes yesterday, and got a fantastic e-mail from her today.

5) also, people are starting to check out the guestmap. it really is a beautiful thing, geography. interestingly enough, aside from ricka and leo, the only other people to've signed it: two from canada, one from portugal. i wonder what that says about attraction to maps, if anything.

not so good is this cold that could not really have come at a worse time -- tomorrow: me, my interview suit, and a box of tissues. but i suppose that's minor. oh and the fact that i seriously need a haircut. but again, minor, nothing a pair of barettes can't take care of.

weekend recap, for posterity's sake as far as i'm concerned. friday drinking with p & t, uneventful. saturday afternoon, oktoberfest with patrick, denise, and johnny: bad beer, great wurst, cute kids dancing, a small family of cows. and fantastic chocolate liquorballs (!). no puff daddy club at night: instead roly, papo, alison and i went to poplife and danced for a good two or three hours straight. not bad. got out of the house.

but this! this is really exciting. starting to feel like i'm back on track. wish me luck tomorrow!

oh and p.s. i found this through her diary. i'm definitely signing up, i'd have no excuse not to. anyone else game?
